We do not employ Travellers; thus we save Big Hotel Expenses and Bad Debts, and give our customers far better value than Credit Houses possibly can.

Goods carriage paid

You will notice we have made up all kinds of Goods in Cases in quantities suitable for anyone. If you do not wish to have any Case as we have selected, you can select for yourself any article or articles from any Cases as you think will suit you, or from any portion of Price List. If you are not able to take articles in dozens or grosses as quoted in List, we shall be pleased to supply you with any small quantity you may desire at the wholesale price. All orders of £5 and upwards will be Carriage Paid, Free Cases and Packing, to any part of England and Wales.
Orders of £20 and upwards we pay Carriage to any part of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales or Channel Islands.
Orders of £50 and upwards we also send Carriage Paid to any part as above. In addition we also send, if required, an experienced window dresser, who will assist you to mark and check off your goods and will dress your windows with articles marked at selling prices, which will give you a thorough good start, and practical ideas how to succeed.

Colonial and foreign orders

All orders for South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, America, or any Colonies or Foreign Countries we carefully pack Free for Export and send your Goods Carriage Paid to Steamer at any Port in the United Kingdom for the same amount as above. Our Agent at each Port seeing them safely put on board Steamer.

How to order

In ordering please give full description of goods wanted: leave nothing to be guessed. Don't order: "Just like the last," but send full particulars with every order.
Address your letters carefully and plainly.
Write your name in full, and be careful to give name of street, city or town, also railway station.

No name on our goods

Important - None of our goods bear our name or address, you will appreciate this, when so many firms have their names on everything and simply use you to push their goods and then when your neighbours know where you get your goods from these unprincipled firms will supply them as readily as they supplied you. We never supply more than one person in one district. If you are able to buy larger quantities of goods than we have quoted for write to us and we may be able to quote less, as we could send direct from our factory.

Cash only

As we sell so marvellously low we only do a Strictly Cash Business.
All orders must be accompanied by cash, or you can send cash on receipt of our invoice.

Wholesale houses buy from us

Owing to our enormous turnover and fresh arrival of Novelties every day we may be able to put you in some article even better in value than quoted. Some people say: "How can this Watkins sell so much below London, Birmingham, &c.?" One thing is we have direct shipping accommodation to all parts of the world, thus saving a large sum in railway freights; another is our rents are not one-tenth what they would be in the above towns; another, we have no large sums to set aside every year for bad debts, as we sell and buy for cash only; another, we sell more in one week than our imitators do in 12 months. You would be really startled if you saw the orders we get from big Wholesale Houses who take orders for goods and then find we are the only people who have stock.

If you visit us

Our new branch, No. 48, High Street, Newport, is only a few doors from the Railway Station, and we have opened this especially for visitors who have not time to visit our Mammoth Shops and warehouses in Chepstow Road. Samples and stock are kept at High Street, and we have our own private Telephone Line to Chepstow Road, so any goods can be obtained without any delay whatever.
