Dennis O'Neill was the boy sent away to care in Shropshire but died through maltreatment in 1945. The case led to a change in the law and influenced Agatha Christie's play, the Mousetrap. His brother told the story in the book 'Someone To Love Us'.
Hayden Pinnell's father was Cllr Bill Pinnell from Dolphin Street, Mayor during the Coronation year when he hosted the Queen's visit.
