Decaying Canal Barge - 1950s.

The remains of the last canal boat... When they were taking the boats down to Newport a lock gate collapsed, leaving this barge stranded. This photo was taken in the 1950s. Photo and information kindly sent to us by Dafydd Powell.

Pardoeham Hall

A view of Pardoeham Hall from the south garden. Situated in Fields Park Road, this was the home of Captain Horace BB Fussell at the time the photo was taken (1970s?). The House was built for B. Pardoe-Thomas, a ship owner, some time around 1920.

The Tram Depot, Corporation Road
