Bassaleg Junction Signal Box, 1890s

Photo kindly sent to us by Mike Goode. His great great grandfather, Henry Charles Mayo, is the signal man standing at the top of the steps. Railway records show that Henry was born in 1850 and worked for the GWR from 1874 to 1921.
