James Hepper Vile

Vile, James Hepper was born in Newrport in 1874, and is the son of the late William Vile, and educated at St. Paul's National Schools, under Mr. Yernon. He subsequently joined his father in the well-known aerated water factory, and later took control until his brother joined him in partnership. He is today the senior partner in the firm of Vile Bros., manufacturers of the mineral waters and temperance beverages which are so widely appreciated in association with their name. He has always been keenly interested in sport, and was for some years chairman of the committee of the Pill Harriers Football Club. He jumped into the Monmouthshire Canal and rescued a drowning boy on the 1st February, 1917. He is married, and the father of one son. Recreations: cycling and motoring. Address: 109 Alma street.
