Main Lines to Alexandra Docks, showing Feeding Roads to Hoists

From "The Alexandra Docks, Newport" published 1914:

"Large quantities of coal can be stored in railway wagons on the sidings, ready for immediate shipment. Three lines lead to each hoist from the sidings at Newport Docks, and in case of "mixing" there is no necessity for marshalling in a cramped space and under the inconvenience and pressure thus caused."
